FAQ

Answers to the questions we hear most.

Is the textile real silk?

Yes — every textile in a Teaky piece is a real handwoven panel, sourced directly from weavers in Banaras and Kashmir. We will name the weaver in the provenance card that accompanies your piece.

Can I send my own fabric to be framed?

Yes. This is our bespoke service, and the way we recommend gifting a wedding piece. Write to atelier@teaky.in with a photograph and dimensions of the fabric, and we will tell you what is possible.

What woods do you use?

Primarily walnut. We also offer sheesham and ebony as options on the customiser. All are solid wood — never veneer, never MDF.

Are the pieces hand-finished?

Yes — every joint, every rebate, every oil-rub is done by hand in our workshop. We do not machine-spray finishes.

Do you sell wholesale or to stockists?

Selectively, yes. Please write to trade@teaky.in with your store's name, location, and a short note on why Teaky fits.

How are prices set on this site?

The prices shown here at launch are indicative placeholders while we calibrate. The final amount is confirmed at checkout (or, for customise and bespoke, at quote).
